Foods: Steak Hotel by Holycow, Kemang

Wooohoo…

After waiting for so long I finally made my way to Holycow at Kemang. I was craving for steak since like about 2 months back. My friends told me they ate there, show me their picture, and I was a crying baby to my BF, asking for a trip there.

So, be prepared, a long review about steak!

First of all,
with a bunch of craving, whining, and constantly asking my baniiih (My boyfriend) to go to Holycow, we finally made it.
Steak House by Holycow at Kemang located at Jalan Kemang Raya, No. 95, South Jakarta. They have another store at Radio Dalam. Don't be fooled, there are 'similar' steak house named, Holycow Steak House, and no, i am not reviewing that right now.
Anyhoo, they open everyday with these schedule:

1. Mon-Fri: 11.00 AM - 02.00 PM, break, then open again at 05.00 PM until Sold Out.
2. Sat-Sun: 11.00 AM - Until Sold out.

By reading this schedule only, I assume they are very confident to say that they will sell all the available  steak. Also, they might only have limited amount of steak, which is nice because they don't keep the old meat.

We found that the place is pretty concealed. The door remains closed, like nothing's there (too bad I wasn't take the picture). We came in and welcomed by a big window with a kitchen scenery. Chefs were cooking the steak. Then I found a narrow way to finally see the cashier near stairs, then the waiter took us to the second level. We sat outside on a smoking area, but decided to go back to non-smoking area because there are finally some available seat. The concept is making anyone who comes there a REAL CARNIVORE. They're like saying indirectly, "If you are not into meat, GTFO". They even named the place TKP (Tempat Karnivora Pesta) which means "A Place where Carnivores Partying".

Checkout my Indoor's picture, it's neat, and the outdoor is pretty good as well, but since Jakarta was pretty humid, we preferred indoor with Air Conditioner :D. They have a lot of scripts hanging on the wall. Mostly about how great it is to be carnivore or foodies, or even their awards as the best steak seller etc, but, one of my favorite is this:

The waiter is pretty helpful and patient (to face my not-so-patient boyfriend). But, I honestly think they might need to add more waiters. Because somehow we needed to wait 5-10 minutes for each thing we want to ask because the waiter itself was pretty busy in serving other guests. And finally we can order :D They will ask our name first, for payment purpose.

• Wagyu Sirloin 200 grams (around 8 fluid oz in US) - Mushroom Sauce -  Medium - Rp. 118 K ($9.8 USD) 
• Ice Tea (Re-fill) - Rp.15 K ($1.25 USD)
• Mushroom Sautee - Rp. 25 K ($ 2 USD)
• Additional BBQ Sauce - Not charged :D

My  Boyfriend ordered:

• Wagyu Topside 9+ 200 grams (around 8 fluid Oz in US) - Black Pepper Sauce - Medium Well - Rp. 99 K - $ 8.2 USD ( My boyfriend is not a meat-lover nor a true carnivore, so he ordered Kid's meal previously because he saw it on the menu, but the waiter said, we cannot order it *WTF)
• Ice Cappuccino - Rp. 15 K ($1.25 USD)

Oh before I forgot, they served us breadsticks for free, whilst we're waiting for the food. Woohoo, I love free food.

Then we continued our perfect steak journey (mine actually) by eating those steaks. Each steak had their own flag, to differentiate which one is which. There is some description behind every flag, identify whom steak it is.

I love how they made mine perfectly medium. It's very juicy and pleasantly tender! A great grilled-smell, lovely pinkish color adding extra juice to the meat. The mushroom sauce is good, but for great steak like that, I don't think we need to emphasize the sauce, the meat itself is the winner! The fries is fries (what can I say, I was blinded by the meat), and the spinach is unique, I never had steak with Spinach Sautee as the side dish. If I could ask more, I'd like to pick Mashed Potatoes instead of fries to minimize the flavor, so it won't mixed too much.

Meanwhile, my boyfriend is pretty satisfied with his steak. He's not a meat-lover so he said his steak was "OKAY". He can not stand about how big the steak is! Check out his,"I'm-so-done-with-steak-for-my-whole-life-" face. He literally ate with a suffered face because the steak was too much for him. A long sigh and not-so-happy face. I was burst at laugh looking at his face.  But he does love the Mushroom Sautee. He said he could eat it the whole plate and preferred it over the steak (sigh.. my boyfriend is almost becoming a vegan :P). I love it too! It's buttery and just perfectly working well with the steak. Love love!

I tried his steak. It's good too! But just a tiny itsy bitsy tougher than mine because his steak was medium well. Thank god, he's almost ordering well done, it could've been hard to bite. But his sauce, I admit, it's better than mine. The blackpepper sauce goes really well with the strong meaty flavor. So, if you want to go there, I suggest Black Pepper sauce instead of Mushroom Sauce.

Oh, and also, the BBQ sauce that I ordered separately is pretty good too. A bit sour, but acceptable. So the sauce (In My humble opinion) in orders are:

1. Black Pepper Sauce (not that hot, just perfect)
2. BBQ Sauce
3. Mushroom Sauce

Previously, I checked some review from some bloggers. They have pretty much the same review as mine. Also, they said that if we tweet that we are at the restaurant then mention @holycow_radal with hashtag location (mine is #tkpkemang), we will get a free tiramisu (if available) or cupcake :D So I tweeted (with my bf's account) and I got this baby. Blueberry Cupcake from Cupcake Company (I think they are working together for this semi-marketing promo)

I am certainly not a big fan of cupcake, for me it's too sweet. But this free dessert was surprisingly tasty! Not so sweet, great punch of cream cheese and good hints of sour blueberry. Love love!

Well, that's all of the foods we had! We can pay directly to the cashier by letting them know our name instead of table number (this is simple, but I think it's pretty good). For me, it cost Rp. 302 K (tax, service, etc included)


So, here's the quick review:

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars!!!!
Price : around Rp.99-180 K (for steak)
Taste: Greaattt for a very affordable price!
Atmosphere: just right :D
Service: good enough, the waiter is kind, but need more waiters tho!

Review - Burt's Bees Citrus Facial Scrub (and *mini* night routine)

First and foremost,
Why on earth I want to post this? Because I cannot find a proper Review about this product, especially in Indonesia. So yeah, here we go. Review for Citrus Facial Scrub by Burt's Bees.

Meanwhile, Burt's Bees is an American Brand. They are a skin care line, famous for their Lip Care Product (e.g Beeswax Lipbalm), you can go here for Burt's Bees Official Website.
Anyway, as you know that I am a youtube fanboy. No, not literally a fanboy but I do have some specific interest related to Youtube Beauty Gurus. I always (yes I said always) try to buy and search for the products they're using.
For example, this baby, Burt's Bees Citrus Facial Scrub. I saw this product on one of Kandee Johnson's video about Night Routine. Kandee somehow presented it so well, I trusted her! :D
She mentioned about scrub that she's using almost everyday. She claimed that it's so soft and not harsh to be used on a daily basis. So, when comes the time I have an opportunity to order this from US (and give it to my friend whilst he's back there), I bought this on Amazon and have it immediately when my friend is back.


They have a very simple packaging. They don't provide us super cute and colorful box. They provide us just a yellow box with a very brief description about what Burt's Bees Citrus Facial Scrub is, they tell us about how to use it, and also a very believable ingredients list with a huge impact of: 99,96% Natural. Now the question is: Is this baby working like they claimed?

A granular and fragrant scrubs (like a pumpkin spice pie or cinnamon!).

 Yeah so, after we saw how it looks like, let's try this one on! Since they claimed they are safe enough to be used as daily basis, I do use it as daily basis. Well, not that daily, but I use it around 2-3 times a week. This is me, I just got home from work with a bunch of junk in my face :D

 Now, I splash my face with water and use a small amount of Burt's Bees Citrus Facial Scrub (I'll call it CFS now, just my own abbreviation). Yes, it looks very harsh, but trust me, it's not. It's like using literally Pumpkin Pie Crust on your face, it feels harsh at the first time, then melted once it contacts water. So, as you can see, this is just the beginning.

1. splash your face with water, add CFS

2. Scrubs it slowly, no need to do it harshly

When you are scrubbing your face (and massaging it maybe), you will smell a very sweet pumpkin pie, or cinnamon. I don't quite sure. haha. But for me, it's quite pleasing.  Also, once you rinsed it off, it will leave your skin soft and super smooth. I swear by this product that your skin will appear brighter, your tone is more even, and your pores appear smaller! Just remember, DON'T SCRUB AROUND EYE AND LIP AREA. But ssstt, I do. I mean, when I scrub my face, I love to add more splash of water to make it more slippery and gooey. Then, I could use the gooey part to massage and clean my eyelid :D It works very well for any waterproof makeup.

3. rinse it off, pat it dry and tada!

Previously I try to find this stuff here in Indonesia, but somewhat I couldn't find it. Until I decided to order on Amazon and send it to my friend. But lately, I found an OL Shop that open PO and have the stocks ready here in Indonesia. I am just not quite sure that I can trust them, so I won't put any information about that for now.

Since I mentioned on title that this will be a night routine post as well, I'd never be boring to let you know that I use my SK-II Facial Treatment Essence after cleansing my face.  Get 2 or 3 drops on your palm and pat it gently on your face and neck. This is a truly holly water for me. Check my review of SK-II Facial Treatment Essence here.

Sigh.. Almost finished product

After using my FTE (another abbreviation :P) I sometimes using The Body Shop Beautifying Oil as my night cream. I am not a big fan of Night Cream. So honestly I am never really searching a very good night cream for me hahha. But trust me, the dry oil (TBS Beautifying Oil) really makes my skin plumps in the next morning. I should do a separate review for that.

So, yeah, that's my post about the Burt's Bees Citrus Facial Scrub. I hope this one helps! :D

Perks: make your skin appears brighter, makes the pores look smaller, smoothen your skin, and non comedogenic on me.

Just a really quick post. I just received my Pasjel Everbright Blue from sista julykittyy (her Line account). Do you know what I was doing first? I checked the authenticity of the product. Sigh, they said there are so many fake products from China distributed. And I am pretty sure I got the authentic product, I read the seller and she has a good feedback I guess.

I've been using pastel for a whole week. Shame on me I don't have any before picture. Well let's make this one-week picture as a future before picture.

These are my legs. On the let side, I used Pasjel Blue, and the right side, I didn't. You can see pretty much differentiation between those legs. Yes, indeed Pasjel makes my skin appears brighter, yet still acceptable and not fake at all. I love that!

Those last two pictures are my feet and my arms using Pasjel Everbright Blue Body cream for 9 days. 

I'm not going to say that it works really well. Just for you to notice, my skin had different tone, previously between the inner arm and the outer arm because I got tan from hanging out on the beach around 2 months ago. (Oh my hands look awkward here. Sigh..). But now, it's the same tone, so it improves very well on me. It doesn't make my skin brightens very well but definitely equalize it! :D Also, my hands don't have that much different with my legs. Which is mean, this cream is working!

And I'm pretty happy with it :D

For now this is my review:

(+) Do brighten my skin, even out my skin tone (this is a huge point for me)

(+) Cute packaging, ice cream look-alike

(-) Expensive, sigh.. I got this one 300K rupiahs for only 100 ml. (I think this will last a month or so)

(-) I don't like how it smells. Too much for me.

Review: Lime Crime - Uniliner - Blue Milk

Setelah kemarin bikin initial post, dan somehow banyak yang minta supaya Lime Crime - Uniliner nya gue review duluan, jadilah ini post (setelah berbulan-bulan nongkrong di Draft): Review Lime Crime - Uniliner - Blue Milk.

Waktu itu gue lagi baca-baca blog nya Kandee Johnson. gue nemu seorang cewe dengan dandanan super quirky, namanya Natasha Lillipore, dan gue end-up di tumblr nya dia .
Gue juga found out kalo ternyata si Lillipore ini adalah seorang founder dari brand kacamata, HerTinyTeeth.

Long story short, Lillipore pernah membahas soal Lime Crime. Gue tadinya ngga pernah denger sama sekali soal si Lime Crime. Dari semua beauty guru yang gue tonton di youtube bangsa nya si Michelle Phan, Kandee Johnson, Bubzbeauty, ItsJudyTime, Promise Phan, ngga ada satupun yang pernah mention Lime Crime. Pernah sih si Kandee Johnson, itupun setelah gue beli Lime Crime, jadi udah ngga penasaran-penasaran amat. Dengan segala bentuk ke-penasaran-an gue, gue menemukan website nya: Lime Crime Makeup.

Logo Unicorn Lime Crime memberi kesan girly dan dreamy banget. Gue ngiler ngeliat semua makeup nya. Warna nya Bold dan berani. Daring banget pokoknya. Gue cari cara gimana biar bisa beli. Searching di forum dan google, mungkin aja ada Online Shop terpercaya dimana gue bisa beli. Tapi pada waktu itu gue ngga nemu.
Kebetulan, seorang teman kantor lagi ada di Amerika. Jadilah gue pesen sama dia. Tapi karna dia cowo, dia ngga tau beli nya dimana dan yang gue mau apa, akhirnya gue end up beli di Amazon.

Jujur pilihan pertama gue adalah lipstick Lime Crime yang Limited Edition, Velvetiness. Alamak, ini bentuk nya kaya Lip Gloss, tapi setelah di apply hasilnya super matte dan stain forever :*
Tapi karena dia limited edition dan udah abis dimana-mana, akhirnya setelah cari-car di Amazon, gue mengurungkan niat karna penjual yang punya Lipstick itu menjual dengan harga sekitar $32 itu belum termasuk ongkir. Darn. Gue ngga bisa ngabisin duit segitu buat lipstick yang ngga tau cocok atau ngga sama bibir gue. FYI Lipstick yang dipake Natasha Lillipore di foto atas adalah Lime Crime Velvetiness - Red Velvet

Pilihan berikutnya jatuh pada Uniliner. Warna nya super bold, berani, daring, menyala, keren! *Heboh
Gue bimbang antara beli yang warna jingga, kuning, ungu atau si biru muda (blue milk). Setelah menimbang dan memilih, pilihan jatuh pada Blue Milk. Akhirnya gue beli di Amazon, seharga $13 dan ongkos kirim ke tempat temen gue $2 (tokonya ada di New Jersey, temen gue di California)
Sepulang nya temen gue dari US, dia langsung kasih gue pesenan yang ini :D

Kardus warna ungu dan ada logo unicorn nya membuat kesan kalo si Lime Crime ini emang High Brand banget deh. Cuma gue kaget banget dong, ternyata ukuran nya super mini. Kecil dan ramping banget deh uniliner nya. Bawaannya sayang mau pake, soalnya mahal, dikit, dan susah dapetnya hahahhahah :D

Foto diatas itu adalah swatch setelah gue apply ke tangan dalam sekali oles. Oh iya, salah satu pertimbangan gue beli Blue Milk adalah dari seri uniliner ini dia yang paling opaque, sekali oles langsung keliatan, sementara yang lainnya butuh 2-3 kali oles. Uniliner nya BUKAN WATERPROOF. Cuma awet aja, ngga gampang ilang, tapi kalo digosok pake air ya gampang ilang nya.

Kayaknya sih Lime Crime ini udah mulai ada yang jual di Indonesia (by PO), tapi gue belom nemu yang bisa gue percaya -,- Setelah gw posting soal si Lime Crime ini di Female Daily, ada beberapa orang yang message gue langsung dan bilang mereka jual Lime Crime. Cuma gue belom berani.

Oke begini hasilnya:

Lower eye

Yeah, so, yang ini adalah aplikasi pads lower eye. Which is butuh kesabaran extra karma butuh tangan yang steady kan? Itu pun harus ditambah liner hitam lagi karna jadi terlalu pale warnanya dan malah kurang pop kalo di pake sendirian. Akan lebih oke kalo bisa ditambah bulu mata. Gue ngga pake bulu mata, atau mascara karena emang ngga suka :P

Upper Eye

Oke, on right side, adalah pemakaian di upper eye, dan tetep harus dipake bareng sama black eyeliner, or else mata keliatan makin kecil dan kurang oke.

Yang gue contohkan disini adalah gambar untuk pemakaian sehari-hari. Buat orang yang ngga terlalu pengen menor, tapi ada sentuhan pop yang bisa bikin hati happy :D

Setau gue, uniliner yang warna nya stand out gini bakal lebih keren kalo dipake barengan eyeshadow yang super pop juga, misalnya kaya gambar yang gue search di google:

Fine, as you can see ya, yang bikini stand out selain eyeshadow adalah bulu mata sodara-sodara. So yes, bull mata salah sati hal yang wajib diperhatikan kalo may lake Uniliner lucu2 dari Lime Crime. Even so, Lime Crime juga ngeluarin warn normal seperti Hitam (Quill) juga. Cuma menurut hue agak ngga worth sih segitu duma dapet eyeliner warna hitam.

Oh sebelum lupa, tekstur nya ngga terlalu kental dan ngga terlalu cair. Gampang dipake dan just fine pokonya. Harga dan ukuran doang sih yang bikin hati menangis. Overall, I love this!

Travel: Cimory Riverside - Puncak (and the Chocolate Shop)

Hallooo..


Hari ini, gue sekeluarga mabur ke Cimory Riverside, Puncak. Di mulai dengan gue yang udah siap-siap mau ke kantor, walhasil membatalkan niat untuk bekerja lantaran si bokap tiba-tiba bilang, "Ke Cimory yok?".
Ahey...
Pucuk dicinta ulam tiba, gue pun semangat buat pergi sama bokap, nyokap, kakak, dan ponakan gue (emang lo aja males kerja Namiraaa).
Gue berangkat sekitar jam 13.00 WIB dari Sentul City. Sekitar 1 jam perjalanan dengan sedikit macet karena adanya pasar di daerah situ, plus Tol Ciawi yang hanya Seribu perak saja dari Sentul maupun Bogor. Initially, gue dan keluarga pengen ke Cimory Resto yang Mountain View (yang agak jauhan dikit), ealah ternyata tutup untuk Renovasi sampe tanggal 12 July 2013. (;_;) sediiihhh...

Puter balik sodara-sodara ke Cimory Riverside, yang letaknya cuma berjarak yah sekitar 1 KM lah dari Cimory Mountain View.

Masuk kedalam, disambut sama mbak-mbak yang lantang bilang, "Selamat datang di Cimory, silahkan reserve dulu". Shoot ternyata gue masuk waiting list.

Rame banget men, yah possibly karna anak sekolah lagi pada libur ya (ngelirik ponakan).

Di dalem Cimory Riverside ada segala macem pernak pernik Sapi. Jam nya Sapi, Patung Sapi, tembok nya warna kulit sapi, lucuk lah pokonya, secara gue demen banget ama sapi. Bahkan kata kakak gue, itu di Cimory Mountain View, lampunya bentuk pentil sapi. Ah sayang sekali gue ngga bisa ngeliat -,-

Otherwise gue bakal merengek minta beli. Hahahha.

Anyhoo, Cimory juga ada display kue-kue cantik di depan, kata kakak gue rasanya ngga sebagus bentuk-bentuknya, okay gue mengurungkan niat buat beli.

Daaan, akhirnya menunggu kurang lebih 30 menit untuk mendapat meja untuk 5 orang. Sementara nunggu, nyokap, bokap, dan ponakan gue ngeliat-liat barang di souvenir shop nya, gue bakal bahas itu nanti.

Disambutlah kita dengan pemandangan ini:

Ijo. Ya, ijo. Yang keliatan cuma ijo. Dan kalo ngelongok ke bawah ada kali. Mereka bilang sungai, buat gue itu kali. Soalnya coklat.

Dan kita pun pesen makan. Karna penuh, kayanya ada bau-bau bakal lama deh, jadi kakak gue, bokap, ponakan, dan gue, mesen hal yang sama Paket Iga Bakar. Nyokap stay dengan yang 'anget-anget' yakni Yong To Fu. Untuk appetizer, kita pesen lumpia ayam kulit tahu dan somay udang.

Minuman, gue dan ponakan pesen milkshake strawberry, kakak gue Oreo Hazelnut Latte, bokap pesen ice cappucino, dan nyokap tetep dengan air mineraal.

Setelah beratus tahun kemudian (karna lama banget si makanan), keluar lah semua makanan dan minuman kita, kecuali minuman ice cappucino bokap.

Unfortunately gue lupa fotoin makanan nya.. Maklum, lapar (-_-").

Jadi langsung skip ke bagian review nya:

1. Paket Iga Bakar: in my humble opinion, ini ngga enak, terlalu berasa pedes lada, dan kebetulan gue orang yang ngga suka pedes lada.
2. Lumpia Ayam Kulit Tahu: enak, yah biasa lah. Dimakan pake sambel bangkok yang somehow terlalu asem.
3. Somay Udang: enak juga, sama-sama makan pake sambel bangkok, cuma yang somay entah kenapa sambel nya pedes.
4. Milkshake Strawberry: nah kalo yang ini gue suka, ada crushed strawberry, tapi ngga asam dan rasanya creamy, milky, enak pokonya.
5. Yong Tao Fu nyokap: ngga nyobain, dia bilang ngga enak
6. Oreo Hazelnut Latte kaka gue: terlalu manis, oreo nya dikit banget mamen.
7. Ice Cappucino bokap: ngga keluar sampe makanan habis (-,-)

Okay, setelah puas makan, gue dan kakak gue memutuskan ke Souvenir Shop dan Toko Coklat nya.

Souvenir nya ada tas sapi, gelas sapi, kaos sapi, sapi (ngga, yang ini becanda).

Keliatan apa ngga ya, itu di pojokan ada kaos kuning dengan tulisan I (HEART) NYusu. Yeah, kesannya I love New York tapi karna ada tulisan 'usu' nya jadi I love nyusu deh. Kocak sih, tapi kalo makin lama dipikir jadi jayus. Hahhaa. Anyway, yang gue foto adalah tas sapi. Sayang itu tas gemblok, kalo kaya clutch gue beli. Hahahha

Terus sebelah toko souvenir yang super cilik, ada kaya supermarket tempat beli susu, yogurt dan dairy product lain, plus mereka juga jualan keripik dan cemilan. Oh ya, nyokap gue beli Chicken Cordon Bleu (soalnya Cimory Riverside nyediain Cordon Bleu juga di menu mereka).

Okay, now for the highlight. Toko Coklat. Somehow gue lupa sama namanya. Pokonya dia toko cokelat. Dengan embel-embel "Free Sample" harusnya sih banyak orang yang kesitu yah. FYI Free sample nya lumayan kok.

Disambut dengan interior yang modern sekaligus hommy. Tema nya coklat-coklat gitu lah, weh too bad, foto keseluruhan tokonya terlalu gelap buat gue pajang.

Overall, kalo emang cari tempat makan, I mean yang makanan nya enak, jangan ngarepin Cimory, soalnya ngga enak, dan mahal -,- Gue makan ber-5 minum ngga aneh-aneh itu habis sekitar Rp.482K. tapi kalo cuma mau cari tempat kongkow sambil minum susu anget, ini enak. :D
